Hodgdon CFE® BLK is a spherical propellant designed expressly for the .300 Remington AAC Blackout cartridge. It meters very accurately and provides full function in modern sporting rifles across a range of bullet weights. For handloaders building subsonic ammunition, CFE® BLK is identified as a particularly well-suited option.

Its Copper Fouling Eraser ingredient was originally used in military propellant. This formulation helps deter copper fouling, contributing to longer periods of top accuracy with less barrel-cleaning time. That is a practical advantage at the bench: more attention to the load and less time spent chasing fouling.

While .300 Blackout is its central assignment, CFE® BLK also performs well in a number of smaller-capacity cartridges, including .17 Hornet, .17 Ackley Hornet, .218 Bee, and .221 Fireball. It also yields top performance in 6.8 Remington SPC and 7.62x39 mm Russian.
