your brass is real clean.. try a small amount of Dillon case lube on the funnel or lightly spray the inside mouth of the brass.......

Having the powder funnel stick on brand-new brass is pretty common - typically 9mm and .45 ACP. Once the brass has been loaded and fired once, the burr left by manufacturing (trimming) on the inside of the case mouth is removed, and the little bit of carbon left inside of the case provides a bit of friction reduction, so the problem tends to go away.

Some folks have re-profiled their expander to allow easier withdrawal from the case, or switched to a Mr. Bullerfeeder expander which has a slightly different profile.

In looking at your videos it appears to me that you have the flare set a bit deep, which is only going to make it worse. I'd suggest that you back up the powder die about 1/4 of a turn.

I also tried without countersink and the brass remains stuck in the first part of the funnel this is the problem.

My brass are new, i tried with lubrification but i have the same problem.

I try re-profiled but, this funnel have a problem...why i do resolve by myself?

the dealer advised me to buy another custom funnel but why? i pay a lot of money this press. if i know this problem i buy a different brand.

I do not know what to do I don't want to spend more money.

The carbon coating inside fired brass acts as a lubricant on the powder funnel. With new brass, tumble it in dry media for 30-60 minutes, as the microscopic coating of media dust acts in a similar manner.
With new brass you can also remove the size die, as the cases should not need to be sized. Fired brass must be sized, both to deprime and to reduce the size of the case back to correct dimensions.

I don't use size die with new brass. I say that the funnel for my 9x21 mm has a problem. it is sticky and i use more force on my press to put down. if you saw my video i explain my problem.
yesterday the dealer want sell another funnel and he say me that is universal funnel for all machine etc etc...but why i should buy another funnel is wheter i have the original dillon?
for my dealer its normal but for me this funnel is to much large for my brass. Other peolple say that i do a polished. i don't know what to do i'm going crazy. who can measured the funnel with caliber?

i repeat the brass ar new, now i use my press only with new brass.

Thank you so much

The diameter of the expanding portion of my funnel is .353" by my calipers. That is 8.9662 mm.

The length is hardly long enough to cause a problem, in my opinion. How long is the expanding portion of yours? I can measure mine, but did not yet.

Hi incoldblood: what type of 9x21-cases do you use?
