using a RCBS measure ???

Is anyone here using a case activated RCBS powder measure on their XL750 I've heard you can use it with a powder check and a Mr bullet bullet feeder. I would like to know how it works before I spend almost $100 to upgrade my old RCBS measure to make it case activated.

RE: using a RCBS measure ???

I did read one thread on another forum about a guy who has it working with a “green” case activated powder drop. I know there are more than one brands that are green, and more than one that are red... so it’s hard to say for sure.

I did look at the green ones, but they’re not in stock anywhere I looked, and it’s red cousin had a (marginally) higher rating at a similar price.

I’ll post my results... assuming I haven’t been banned for heresy. I just want the stuff I bought from Dillon to work together.

Given almost half the videos in Dillon’s support video library is for Mr. Bulletfeeder, and Dillon sells it in their store, I feel it’s a customer disservice to not mention the incompatibility of the XL750 + Mr Bulletfeeder + Powder check die on their website.

Oh well.

I agree with you Dillon has done us a disservice I bought my XL750 with a plan to add a Mr Bullet feeder and a powder check. On the other hand I have a 20 year old XL650 that is set up for 45 auto that I could use for 9mm, 38 super and 10mm my plan was to load ammo with large primers on the 650 and use the new 750 for small primer ammo.

In the other thread About the XL750 and Bulletfeeder, there’s a comment that Double Alpha is manufacturing a fix; if so, I’ll eventually be able to ask DAA to “Shut up and take my
Money!”

Meanwhile, I received and set up a (Nebraska Cornhuskers?) Red Powder measure. The only thing I haven’t done yet is throw powder in it; (it is otherwise set up, dialed in the case belling, has full powder measure throw... It’s looking good!

An adapter ring & washer to mate with the Dillon Powder Alarm would finish the job.

The red doesn’t quite match the color of the case feeder insert, though.
