Taper crimps

With the availability of .357 bullets without the crimping cannelures, two that come to mind Xtreme and Berrys, I would like a taper crimp die for .38 and .357 made for the Square B press. Just wondering if anyone else would be interested. Perhaps if a number of customers express some interest Dillon may one day offer one. Thanks for reading.

Have you tried backing off the crimp die until it just squeezes the case mouth against the bullet? A taper crimp would be nice, but I really doubt they will make one for .38/.357.

Quite a bit of difference in the crimps. I'll remove the roll crimp die and use my old trusty RCBS junior with the Lyman taper crimp die to finish up.
Thanks for asking.

I shoot a lot of Berry's in .38 special and was wondering the same thing.

Is there a way we could substitute in a .38 Super crimp die? Not sure if this would work.

That's a good question. I don't have one to try. Kinda hate to buy one and find it doesn't work. Maybe one of the Dillon people can reply.

When loading plated bullets I try to seat the bullet as tightly as possible (without deforming the slug) then keep my regular taper crimp but increase the powder load slightly.
