RL550 stiff index sprocket

Hi, i recently purchased a RL550B and loving it so far. One problem i have is the index sprocket is very stiff at certain points when trying to rotate it. At some points when loading i have to use two hands to rotate the sprocket. I tried adjusting the shell plate bolt numerous times but this doesnt seem to be the issue. Any ideas?

Also, occasionally the powder funnel crushes the edge of the case. It doesnt align. The other stations all allign just fine.

the set screw that keeps your shell plate bolt from turning sounds like it may be loose. Adjust your shell plate bolt so that your shell plate and pocket move freely with a slight detent, then tighten your set screw on your ram.

Check the shell plate on a flat surface for being bent.  If bent contact Dillon for replacement.  Align the shell plate and index sprocket, as recommended by previous poster.  Tighten the set screw again.  If the index sprocket tightens on the shell plate again then the set screw is damaged and should be replaced.

A reason for the shells sliding out of the case slightly at the powder station, and then being crushed is trying to index to fast and/or not smooth.  I have seen people try to flick the indexing. Smooth and slow is faster than trying to go fast. You will speed up over time.  If the case is not slightly out of the shell plate, then look for a bent shell plate. An edge of the slot can be bent (from a drop on the floor, etc).

Forgot to update. The index star was bent, replaced by my local Dillon dealer, shooting stuff.
