RE: RL 550b

Revolver calibers usually require a roll crimp to prevent bullet set back under recoil and semi automatic calibers require a taper crimp to prevent bullet set back during the feeding cycle.

RE: RL 550b

I have been using the Dillon taper crimp for my 38 special reloads for my S&W model 15 and Airweight without a problem. The plated bullet only allows a taper crimp and after about 500 shots it seems to work. Hope this helps.....

RE: RL 550b

I just started with the RL 550b and the shell casing got hung up on the powder drop and nicked the casing of the cartridge. Since then I have to put a little more pressure on the downward stroke to get the casing to come down of the powder drop. Is that O.K. or should I pull it apart and see if there is something wrong. there isn't any change in the C.O.L. orthe powder weight.
