Primers not

Hello: Newcomer to Dillon world and could not be happier.
When I deprime spent pistol cases, many of my primers do not go down the primer slide into the catch basin but fly off in many directions.

Not sure why hence my question.

Thank you.

Also, can you please help with the occasional problem where the primer does not seat fully. I'm wondering if the tension on the fail-safe rod is not proper.

Thank you.

The sheet metal primer catcher pivots on a cotter pin. It sounds like your cotter pin is bent, and not allowing the primer catcher to freely pivot. Remove the cotter pin, straighten it, and reuse it. Or, if you're lazy like me, use a small safety pin instead

Are primers high on one side, or all the way? By how much? Push down on the edge of the shellplate between stations 2 and 3. If it feels springy, then the shellplate bolt needs to be tighter.
