primers flipping sideways and upside down

Please help. I load .45acp and .38 spl on my 650. when loading .38 spl the machine runs flawless, knock on wood. When I convert to 45acp, on average 1 out of every 10 primers end up either sideways or upside down. Any ideas to remedy. The priming system is nice and tight with no wiggle or play. I'm at a loss?

Be sure you changed the primer seater over to large, and that the seater is threaded up tight into the underside of the platform.

Try just cycling primers through the loader, removing them by hand when you push forward on the handle. Make sure they come up flat. Is the U-shaped notch in the shellplate centered over the primer? Otherwise, call us for assistance when you can be in front of the phone.

After loading your .38's, did you re-adjust the primer station locator tab to accomodate the larger .45 case?

You want a small amount of space between the primer station locator tab and the case. About the thickness of a business card.

When I get reloading very fast I find I have more flipped primers. This is caused by the primer coming up before the shell plate is fully indexed and stopped at its new position. The primer edge catches on the edge of the new shell plate position primer hole as it is approaching its resting spot flipping the primer over.

That's exactly what I found out. So, what's the solution?

Bump......any thoughts on solving the flipping problem? It is happening periodically for me too.
