Primer seating cup to high

Looking for options to re-seat the primer seating cup to the proper height 1.215" to 1.220". I have tried using vice grips while I tighten the primer punch screw set, but it still springs up approximately 1/8" too high still. It won't drop a primer as it hits the primer feed stop pin, when i realized its too high.

RE: Primer seating cup to high

If I had to do this, I would put the item in a vise and slowly close it while using a caliper to test the overall height if it won't feed.

Another item that could be affecting feed is the knurled nut at the top of the primer feed (below the low primer sensor) being tightened down too much and putting pressure on the plastic piece at the bottom of the feed tube.

Another item would be to check the little white piston at the bottom and make sure that it is free moving. You may need to remove this clean it and relube. It is covered in the Dillion video on you tube covering lubrication of the 550.
