primer orifice round count

loaded about 1200 rounds, then started having primer issues.  Red tip appeared OK but would not come out of tube with ease, slightly deformed.  After replacing with a new red tip all functions as normal.  Cup is at 1.407  with in the .003 specs of 1.41 +/- .003.

What other issues should I look for?  Is there an expected round count per orifice? Are there other issues might I need to investigate?

RE: primer orifice round count

This deformation can easily be caused by out-of-round primers. No typical lifespan on the tips. I've had some last 100K rounds, others last less than 100. As you use them up, contact us for a couple of warranty replacement tips as needed.
