RE: new products

The color-anodized billet-aluminum toolheads are now available, and listed on the website, as of 3/6/2014. The new trimmer will probably be available in May/June timeframe.

Is it possible that there might be a trade in program or a fee based that you could send in your old tool head in to have color anodized.  I have 12 tool heads and cannot see buying 12 new ones for the anodizing but would be willing to pay to have anodized.  I think this might generate alot of business.

BW Paterson,

Use ebay to dump your old tool heads if you want the new ones. I wouldn't expect Dillon to take back any old heads, what are they going to do with them? Companies need to make a profit and Dillon does a great job standing behind their products, but I certainly wouldn't want a huge pile of old, used, unsellable stuff sitting around collecting dust.

RE: new products

Guess you missed my idea. I was suggesting that for a fee say $10 you send your tool head in and it comes back anodized. The problem with business is that many times people do not think outside the box. For example if it was 10bucks and I have 10 tool heads they would get $100. If their cost was $50 then they have a net profit of $50. a fair deal. On the other had why would I sell my 10 heads maybe getting $150 dollars (lost $100 from what paid) and then pay $300 for new heads. The manufacture would max their profits, but I would never do this. So while the manufacture could make $50 that they would not get they would rather wait on future sales. Maybe I am old fashion.

My post was only for Dillon to maybe consider. I agree they have great customer service and I have used it myself. I think they are a great company and have recommended their products to numerous other shooters.

I belive that the tool heads you have are Die Cast, and can not be anodized - or it just will not look good.

So I belive the new color tool heads are machined from a Billet Stock - so they can be anodized.

The cast toolheads I think are made of a zinc alloy and will not anodize.  The new color toolheads are made of aluminum would anodizes very nicely.

The old toolheads work just fine.  If you want bling buy some new toolheads.
