Mayors Exceeding Their Authority

You see where the mayors of Champaign, IL and New Orleans, LA have taken it upon themselves to ban the sale of firearms in their cities while this coronavirus is going on. I read that another city in California is also banning the sale of firearms. I'm waiting to see if the mayor of my city tries it, at which time, he's going to be reminded of the United States Constitution and the Constitution of the State of Ohio, which BOTH guarantee me the right to keep and bear arms, and the mayor of any city does not have the authority to abrogate the U.S. or a state constitution, period. If you're in one of these cities, stand up for your rights, and remind the mayors that criminals aren't going to be buying their guns from gun stores and they won't be obey the law, anyway. Common sense, but politicians seem to be sorely lacking in that commodity.
