Hard Spot on Handle Upswing

I have an older SDB. Recently when I bring the handle down to decap old primer, etc., when I start back up, there is a spot that often is hard to push past, like something it hanging up. I've been trying to figure out what is causing the problem since it doesn't do it all the time, about 40-45%. Any suggestions? I've taken the press apart, greased where I'm supposed to, keep putting in new parts, but so far, I have not found the itch to scratch!

I have a similar problem that only exists when I load 9mm. For some reason the shell gets slightly stuck in the powder funnel, and I have to give the handle a nudge to get it free. Not sure if this is the same thing that you are experiencing.

I posted about it in this thread: https://www.dillonprecision.com/case-gets-stuck-in-the-powder-funnel_350_9_3557.htm

Run just one piece of brass through all positions on the machine. If the hangup occurs at every position, then heavily grease the angled bottom of the index lever, which is located in the back of the shaft.
If it only occurs at station 2, then cases are dragging on the powder funnel. This is common with new brass, and with brass that was wet-cleaned. The light carbon coating on the inside of the case acts as a lubricant on the funnel.

Well, it wasn't a 9mm case that was causing the problem it was two pieces connected with the powder drop that is causing my problem. The Bell Crank part, either 13871 or 97034 on the back stroke the top short arm is making contact with the corner of part 22273 on the right side where the powder bar exits. I don't know if that short arms has been bent which is causing the problem or not. Saturday I'll see if I can take it apart and use a hammer to move it the opposite direction. Either that or order a new part and hope it will not catch.

The two-piece bellcrank is intentionally bent. This delays retraction of the powder bar until the shellplate has already started to rotate.
