failsafe rod removal

Brand new 550 here. I found the answer to my first question on further down in the forum, but the answer leads me to another question. When changing to another powder or to empty out any that is unused, I read to simply remove the toolhead pins and failsafe rod and dump out the powder. Only problem is the little white hat looking bushing on the failsafe rod is a absolute pain to both get in or back off. Now I've only done it once so maybe its a new thing. Will this get easier over time or am I doing something wrong?

RE: failsafe rod removal

HI I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL HELP YOU BUT IF YOU PULL DOWN ON THE HANDLE ABOUT A 1/4 OF THE WAY AND HOLD IT YOU CAN POP THE WHITE BUSHING OUT BY JUST PUSHING ON THE TOP OF IT. HOPE THIS HELPS.
