Customer Service

Can anyone explain why Dillon's customer service is so not up to other industry standards. The're shipment is slow, and they don't give tracking numbers, also they charge the highest amount for shipping. Also, trying to get them via email or phone line is not very fast. I hope Dillon Precision takes a look at there current Customer Service Policy and upgrade it. I do enjoy using their products, except Customer Service.

I'm going through the same thing Fred.. I've been lied to twice now about my order. If I don't receive my information by tomorrow I will cancel my order. I was told my order was going to be shipped the next day if I ordered by phone. It was complete BS, and I've figured out I was only being told what I wanted to hear so someone could get their commission on the sale.

Actually, we do provide tracking numbers via email when an order ships. We have had a significant spike in demand due to fears of a ban on some types of 5.56mm ammunition, which has overwhelmed our phone lines.

My frustration with Dillon has hit it's limit. I sent them my Vibratory Tumbler over a month ago. I called them today only to find out it was going to be another 7 to 10 days before they can even get to it. All it needs is a motor change. How difficult can that be? The sad part of it all, is I'll have to pay for this lousy service. 

I'm Through With Dillon. As far as I'm concerned, their Customer Service is so far below pitiful that they are no longer going to receive any business from me. I am going to start replacing my Dillon equipment with RCBS. Their Customer Service is nothing short of outstanding.

I too have had a bad beginning with Dillion! Just to put it bluntly their Customer Service in the purchase part of the process "SUCKS"!! I have read all the good thinks about their products and that it is the best out there and I believe this to be true but my first experience with them and Customer Service was horrible.  I decided to purchase my first Dillion machine after reading all the reviews. On Monday I placed my order online thinking like all other company's I have done business online that I would receive an email confirmation on my order, this never happened. Then I expected to get a confirmation when shipped this too did not happen. Ok four days passed and nothing from Dillion and no type of correspondence on my order. On Thursday I called Dillion after my account was debited for the funds. The guy I talked to was less than enthusiastic about my concerns on my order. When asked why I had not received any type of correspondence on my order or it's shipment, he advised that due to the high volume of orders they don't send out notifications. When asked about when my order would be shipped and when would I be getting tracking numbers, he explained that they don't send that information out that the shipping company will send out an email when it ships. He did however verbally give me the tracking numbers at that time. It seemed to me that the person I talked to did not really give a SH#%^  about me or my concerns about my order. I think that just a little bit of the normal customer service and communications would have gone a long way and not left me with such a bad first impression. I am now worried about any further need for correspondence as far as warrant an such in the future. If I had know this was their attitude with their customers I would had looked little closer at other company's machines.  I want to explain that it is not the time it took to process the order or how long it took to ship, I know thinks happen, but it was the lack of communications Dillion has with its customers will at least this one.  Also I checked my tracking numbers today on my shipment and it shows in shipment, but guess what I never got notification FROM ANYONE. Had I not called and received the tracking numbers I would not had known when to expect my shipment....

When ordering online, when you click the "Submit Order" button, an email is immediately sent out. This is automated. The conformation page is what is sent, listing the items order, the billing and shipping address. If you didn't receive it, check your spam folder, as well as your settings for incoming mail. Some mail servers block incoming mail from new responders.

 When the order actually ships, a second email is sent with the tracking information, whether it is shipped by FedEx, UPS or USPS. This is automated as well.
