Casefeed Adapter XL 750 for 308

I've got two black Casefeed adapters that came in different used XL650/750 conversion kits that I have bought. One kit was for 308, and the other was for 7mm Remington Magnum.

According to the info in my manual, the two adapters should be different part numbers. According to information I got from Dillon customer support, the three "black" casefeed adapters have a different length slot in them, with PN 13541 (for 308 and similar) being the shortest, PN 14395 (for 7mm and 45-70) being in the middle, and PN 14394 (for long belted magnums) being the longest.

The adapters I have don't have a part number on them anywhere, and are exactly the same in every dimension.

So, does anyone know what the length of the slot actually is for either the 308 or the 7mm casefeed adapter?

RE: Casefeed Adapter XL 750 for 308

I found my answer in aroundabout way...
I found a 3D printer file for a 308 casefeed adapter, and opened it up in a program where I could get a dimension to compare. Turns out both adapters I have are for 7mm/45-70.

From the shoulder of the adapter to the top of the slot, the 308 one appears to be about 11/16”, while the 7mm one is 1-1/4”. Hope that helps someone else in the future.

RE: Casefeed Adapter XL 750 for 308

The conversion kit I have lists .308, .30-06, and .30 TC on the box and my black casefeed adapter also measures about the same as yours at 1.256". The 30-06 case is very close to the 7mm Remington Magnum in length, and the 30 TC is longer still. I hadn't realized that there were multiple black adapters and you have helped me to be one step closer to Enlightenment.
