case lube inside 223 case?

As I read many discussions on applying case lube to bottle necked cases (223/5.56) some suggest lubricating the inside of the case necks before resizing. The idea is to prevent the expander ball from stretching the case at the shoulder, increase case run-out or change head space.

With the Dillon 223 carbide die is there a need to lube the inside of the case neck when sizing? If so, what procedure would you suggest to apply the Dillon case lube to the inside of the case? Should the lube be removed from the inside of the case neck prior to seating the bullet?

No need to inside neck lube when using a Dillon rifle size die. The carbide expander ball makes that unnecessary.
For use with dies using a steel expander, use a bore brush with graphite or motor mica to lightly dry lube the inside of the case neck. Several other die manufacturers now offer carbide expanders as an option, to be purchased separately.
