case feeder for rl550b

Can you use one case feeder to do both large and small pistol calibers? I noticed that they have a small and large version. Do you have to buy a large and a small caliber case feeder or just switch out the shell plate to convert from large to small?

You only need to swap the case feeder plate (but don't forget the caliber-specific casefeeder adapter).

If you order a case feeder for the 550 you get both plates one for small pistol and one for large pistol.
My wife bought me the case feeder for the 550 a few years ago and got both plates.
I load 9mm,38super, 38/357,45acp,45 colt, and 44 mag.

ok. Thanks for the info. I guess you just have to change out something for each caliber?

When you have a 550 with a casefeed, each caliber has a specific casefeed disc (plate), casefeed adapter, and station 1 location insert. Some items may be interchangeable, but that is dependent on the calibers you're changing. Take a look at the casefeed manual online to see the difference between the calibers. This is in addition to the caliber conversion kit that changes the pins, funnel, and shell plate.
