380 case feeding problem
August 9th, 2009 at 7:02pm
I'm using the 650 with case feeder and when I am loading 380 ACP, some of the cases get stuck in each other, ie: the base of one case is stuck in the mouth of the one below. When this happens the lower case will not feed and I have to remove the entire tube of cases to clear the problem. This seems to occur about 1 in 20 rounds, so it really slows down progress. Any thoughts on what might help?
Thanks,

What color is the case feed adapter you are using? A few years ago we developed a gray-colored adapter specific for .380. Prior to that, we used the green one for 9x19mm.

Phone or e-mail us, and include your address information, so we can mail a gray adapter to you.

Ugly answer - pre-size. The size of the case at the mouth is obviously opening in the chamber. A chamber just a litle large will do it. The exterior diameter of a new sized case at the mouth is 0.373" while the headstamped base is 0.374". Only 1 thousandth of an inch. You could aslo try changing firearms.
