I hqve a 550b .Just bought it used.It is in great shape.
I seem to have an issues seating the primers.
Not always but sometimes.It seems like i am exerting an awful lot of backpressure on the handle
in order to seat them..Is this normal??.I have the small black steel plate under the primer mechanism.
are there spacers one can add to this in order to get the seater up a little higher??

Spacers would cause other problems. Check the shellplate bolt, make sure it is as tight as you can run it and still rotate the shellplate. Check the two small screws that attach the spent primer catcher to the underside of the platform. If the left one has baked out at all, it contacts the top of the primer slide, acting as a stop to forward travel of the handle. Next, be sure the handle doesn't touch anything when you push it forward to seat a primer. Incorrect mounting of the loaded cartridge chute bracket can allow it to interfere with primer seating.
