I know they don't want you to take these apart but I am using lots of 748 and it seems to be getting down along side the primer punch and making it raise a bit. Anyone had any success taking the punch apart and cleaning out the stuff? I shoot a lot of AR ammo and this is at least annoying or causes hang ups. I tumble in the smaller Dillon tumber, Full length resize and clean primer pockets after swaging so I am sure it is not coming from the cases. Thoughts suggestions? Quick fixes, as I am again having hang ups. Thinking of soaking in Brakekleen but one of my Buddies said not to do that due to building a potentially harmful combination?

It is not to difficult to partially disassemble the primer seating punch assembly. Unscrew it from the underside of the platform, push down on the lip of the spring retaining cap, and pry off the e-clip. This allows removal of the spring for easier cleaning.
