Power factors required by major shooting organizations. Power factor is calculated by the formula: bullet weight times velocity divided by 1000.

 

CALCULATING AMMUNITION POWER FACTOR

 

This form will help you calculate the power factor for most types of ammuntion as specified by common shooting organizations. Proper power factor for the caliber and weapon type is required if you plan to compete in any shooting match. All numbers are in feet per second (fps).
