If there is one thing I can’t stand, it’s a rifle that sounds like a spoon running over a cheese grater. I want our rifles to be as silent and smooth as possible when charging. We used to modify each spring by hand in the assembly process to accomplish this, but I knew that we could produce a custom spring on a production basis that had all these modifications.
After much experimentation, we came up with our own custom operating springs which are about 7% over standard rate. They are centerless ground and then polished to a mirror finish resulting is a quieter and smoother action and enhanced sight recovery/reliability due to the rate change. Try one—it’s a big improvement for a few dollars.
