Recently purchased a XL650 with trimmer. My first time using the trimmer the motor became very hot within a short time period. Is this normal? I processed 75 cases of 223 cal. Is this a break-in period for the motor? (Brushes)
I ran the motor once again after cooling and it DID NOT get hot. I disconnect the vacuum from the trimmer this time and not on the first run.
Also there is alot of noise (vibration) created from the motor and the tool die being loose within the XL650. Is there a method for eliminating this noise?
Your thoughts?
Thank you,

The trimmer runs very hot! The motor is DC, with a bridge rectifier in the control box to convert the AC to DC. This motor, like all DC motors, runs hot enough to brew a pot of coffee on.
No way to eliminate the noise you are referring to.
