Just got my SDB, love it. What a difference between it and a loadmaster. Like the difference between night and day. One question, whats the easiest way to empty the powder measure without making a mess ? Plan on buying a bunch of caliper conv. kits as soon as I can afford them. Another question, why don't you have the SDB set up to load a 30 Carbine, not much difference between it a 357 mag, other than a tapered case. would be a good candidate for the SDB, and probably could sell a few to people that loaded pistol cartridges. thanks for the outstanding product, Allen

The easiest way to empty the powder measure is to first detach the failsafe return rod, then remove the retaining screw that anchors the upsdie down L shaped pise to the bottom of the powder measure.

Put a funnel into the opening in the powder container, and pour the powder out of the measure back into the original factory container.

30Carbine is a tapered case, and requires more effort to size than the SDB can handle over the long term.

To empty the powder measue: I first loosen the bolt attaching it then I pull the retaining clip holding actuater to the rod. Once it's free carefully lift it up and off of the SDB. I carefully pour the powder back into its original container. Once this is done I put the spout where the powder is deployed to the shell into the top of powder container. Then I cycle the mechinism a few times to get what was ready to go into the next shell back into the powder container.
