Rl550 Casefeeder upgrade

I'm thinking about upgrading my 550 with the Casefeeder for several pistol cartridges. What are the pro and cons ? Is it worth the cost ?

I'd still like to load rifle cartridges so how difficult is it to switch back so do so ? What has to be removed ?

I'd buy a XL650 but with 5 RL550 tool heads and 3 caliber conversions aside from almost being over the hill I can't justify it. If Dillon had a "trade in" deal that would be a different matter..:-)).

The 550 casefeeder will significantly speed up your handgun caliber reloading. To change for loading rifle, you loosen the two right side frame bolts, and remove the front right one. Pivot the actuating cam off to the right, so it is behind the loaded cartridge bin, then snug these two bolts tight. Then you can use a wire loop to hold the case feed plunger to the back. Now it is easy to slide cases into the shellplate without completely removing the case feed assembly, and it takes less than 5 minutes to restore everything.

I do 30 carbine and I'm going to start doing 308's. I don't remove or move anything because it's set good right now and I don't want to upset anything. I decap and resize my cases on a small Lee single stage press because most of the cases have to be trimed off the 550b. It's really not hard to get the case in with feeder inplace. I do the powder bullet and crimp on the press.
