Okay, I've had this Square Deal since 1987. Lately when I reload .45 ACP the primer tube will randomly dump primers, jamming the press. As usual, it does it when there's 50 or 60 primers in there. I take it apart, reload the primer tube, and it'll work for a while, and then do it again. What's going on?I'm tired of picking up primers off the floor and spending my time fixing, not loading.

Easy cure. On the back of the primer housing, there is a flat spring that holds the white plastic primer retaining pin in place. This pin and the corresponding hole in the primer housing is dirty. Remove the flat spring, remove the pin, and use a cotton swab and alcohol to clean it. Clean off the pin, and very lightly grease the head end of the pin. Reassemble, repeat annually.
