PRIMER SLIDE

For some reason my primer slide wont go baclk all the way to pick up primers.Tried to bend the operating arm,positioning the operating bar holder,cleaning the whole slide area but it just wont go back that little extra to do the pick up.Any ideas.Thank you................

If you grasp the rear of the primer slide and pull it rearward, does the slide go back far enough to pick up a primer?

Be sure the bottom of the the op rod bracket (clamped around the black primer shield) is within .002"-.004" of touching the frame of the machine.
Next, check the two small screws that anchor the roller bracket to the underside of the platform. Be sure they are tight.

I'm having the same problem...... Bar doesn't come back enough to pick the primer up. I've bent the operating bar, cleaned (many) times, etc!! Does someone have a pic or diagram of what needs to be adjusted to get things working correctly?
I'm glad I bought a 550B, but, I need to get the kinks worked out...
