I just finished setting up my new 550 and the powder measure is choppy moving to the closed position after powder is dropped is this normal or does it just need some break in period?

The clunkiness is normal. Be sure the blue wing nut at the bottom of the failsafe rod is tight enough. Push forward on the handle as if seating a primer. While holding the handle forward, tighten the blue wing nut until the coil spring above it is partially compressed.

Great thanks I'm pretty sure I have wing nut/spring adjusted properly I just wasn't sure about the choppiness thank you for the reply....
