Lubing the primer slide??

I used silacone spray for mine and had great results, make sure its not coated with powder residue first, if  it does clean it then spray the slide and the slot where it fits.

I use silacone spray on all moving parts, it doesn't cause build up of oil or greese residue and keeps rust from forming.

 

Do not lube the primer slide. Use steel wool or a scotchbrite pad to scrub the top of the frame, sides and bottom of the slide, then wipe with solvent. The only place to lube is the top of the operating rod where it goes into the small bracket clamped around the shield.

My large primer slide was sticking. When I took it apart I cleaned it with acetone and a scothbrite pad even though it was not at all dirty. I then remembered about there being a certain height in the manual. I checked it and sure enough... it was too high. I slacked the set screw and adjusted it down within spec. It has not so much as hic-cupped in over 2000+ rounds. The fact that it was too high made it hang up on the bottom of the primer tube. Check yours to see if that is the case as well.

I'd suggest the graphite powder rather than the white Teflon powder. This simply because the black graphite will not be confused with illicit drugs by DEA agents in the Obama administration! lol

Mine was sticking abit, i took it to the polishing wheel and with just a little polishing of the top and bottom of the slide it works great no lube needed.
