I am having a problem with the index ring stick to the rear and when I move the ram down, does not index the shellplate. Several times I stop, remove the shellplate and make sure everything is clean and nothing is ever in there and the index ring moves fine. I assemble it all back together and after about 50-100 rnds it starts sticking again......got any ideas?

Are you lubing the interior of the ring with grease?

Yes there is grease on the inside. It is like it is catching on something but I have torn it completely down twice and cant find a thing. When it is stuck in the rear position all it takes is a light tap with your finger and it snaps back.

Finally figured it out. The index pawl had burrs on it where it pops up into the shellplate. Over timethe burrs got bad enough to start getting hung up on the shellplate. I had a spare I put in and it is working fine now. I will clean up the burrs on the old one and keep it as a spare.
