I'm looking to purchase the 'Eliminator' Scale (item # 13480). Not a fan of electronic scales. Does this scale come with check weights?

No check weights are included with the Eliminator scale. They are mechanically calibrated, so no need.

really? hmmm... I'm not familiar with how the scale mechanically calibrates itself. Anyone care to elaborate? I've used electronic scales i the past, but have not used a mechanical one.

have you ever had work table that used screw in feet? It is a balance beam put your increments to 0 then adjust foot until the lines line up on the beam and frame of scale. add powder or bullet you want to weigh then move increments to determine how much it weighs simalar to a doctor scale.

You don't need to calibrate a beam scale, as it is machanically calibrated at the factory. All you do is set the poises to zero, and level the scale.
