A 650 Dillon press owner told me that Dillon recommends western primers. He told me this after I told him that I had just bought a brick of remington primers. He knows that I am going to buy a Dillon 650 come the end of july......I have been all over this site and havent come across any primer preferences by Dillon............IS THERE?

All current domestically produced primers should feed fine through any Dillon loader. With the volume of primers currently being produced, expect the occasional hangup, but in our experience Remington is one of the more dimensionally consistant primers at this time.
While we haven't tested all of the available foreign-made primers, we are getting good reports on Wolf primers as well.

I use CCI and Winchester and Federal primers with no problems.

So far, I've used Winchester (the most), Remington and CCI small pistol primers through my 650 and they all feed reliably.

CCI (commercial and military), Wolf, Magtech, Remington, Federal, Winchester, S&B ALL seem to work just fine for me. Large and small, rifle and pistol even an experimental batch with magnums cycled without any problems.
