Clean Up

I am fairly new to this game so don't think my solution is the only one. I use an air compressor to blow out debris out of tight places. I have also found that just a couple of grains of powder caught in the primer slider has caused considerable issues. For that I had to dismantle the slide and use a brush to clean out the track.

The next question would be, how do I reduce the amount of debris (or powder) from getting on to the plate for slider to begin with? I have had a few issues of more powder dumping than I had intended. I believe it is just an adjustment that needs to be made but that is something I need to figure out.

I too have had these issues - specifically with some powder spillage during cycling. The maintenance kit has a can of compressed air like you'd use for computer equipment and such - the small tube nozzle which comes with it has been helpful in blasting out the hard to reach areas. I also use some small horsehair paintbrushes to brush around and slightly under the shell plate, which seems to help. Some type of compressed air, combined with the brush, has served to cleanup about 80% of my powder spillage issues. Good luck.

P.S. - If you use a shop vac, just make sure to remove all of your locator tabs first - otherwise you'll be fishing them out of the cannister...
