I am wondering if anyone has lowered the case feed assembly. I am installing this unit in my 5th wheel and have a bit of a height issue with the case feed bin.
Any suggestions are welcome!

Yes I lowered my xl650 case feed. I have pictures that are too bit to upload (2mb each). Post e-mail and I will forward. I will try to resize and post later to forum.
In 2001 I sent the pictures to dillon in the hopes they would build a low case case feed solution (new bracket and shorter case feed tube is all it takes)
Use 1 inch copper straight tube, 1 straight joint (for bottom of new bracket, to fit on frame) and 2 90 degree elbows. By mounting on the right side I was able to move the case feed in back instead of off to the side. This allowed a narrower space for the loader. I load in a cabinet 3 feet wide by 2 feed deep. I cut (at the very end) the tube to 8 1/2 inches.

Could you email me the detailed pictures of that.. Its kinda hard to tell exactly what you done, and I"m a bit vertically challenged.

Two bolts 2 5/8s .
Bottom Pipe 8
Middle Pipe 6 1/4
Top Pipe 9
Bottom of tube has straight joint fitting.
Two 90 degree elbows
Top of top pipe had TWO straight joint fittings.
I suggest you dry fit all parts.
Put bottom pipe and middle pipe on first. Check how far you have to press the bottom straight fitting on before final assembly.
This is also good time to drill holes. Set pipe on loader, poke marker through to mark pipe. Remember the holes are offset from 90 degrees.
Put second elbow on. Then add top tube.
Press on the TWO straight joints, check fitting with casefeed on.
Then lastly cut the case feed tube (about 8 1/2 inches), but cut at the end to make it fit.
My son will make you one for an outrageous price.

First post here...
My 650 is an early one, and I think they had the case feed a bit higher back then. Anyway, I lowered mine today by exactly 7 inches. It was easy, I marked the cut location on the support tube with tape and used a hacksaw. Then used a tube cutter to cut the same 7" off the clear plastic case tube. Be sure to cut from the bottom, the top of the the plastic tube has an inside chamfer that would be a bit difficult to duplicate.
Lowering mine by 7" was close to the max possible without making a new support tube, it looked like I could take maybe another inch and still use the original tube.
Tonight I loaded 100 rds of 9mm, case feed worked perfectly.
