I load a 200 gr. Rainier FP bullet and get a 1.235+/- in Winchester and PMC cases. I load the same bullet in Remington and CBC and Federal cases and get an OAL of 1.240+/-. Any explaination as to the differences? Is it a difference in case length or is there something else going on? It doesn't affect shooting or accuracy, I just can't figure out the reason for the added length. Some folks on other forums seem to be concerned about such a difference, but I don't see it if the bullet isn't seated too deep.

It could be case length, or case neck wall thickness causing the variation you are seeing. Not enough difference to worry about, fortunately.
