Bullet Tray Kits
I'm debating which strong mount to buy for my XL650. I'd like to be able to use the various attachments, such as the bullet tray, the toolholders, etc. My machine is currently directly mounted to a home constructed workbench that's 36" from floor to work surface. Since I do most of my reloading while standing, I'm not sure which strong mount to get, the RL550/XL650 or the XL650-only. (At least deciding for my SDB is an easy choice!) Thanks much! Depends on how tall you are. The 650 stand raises it about 6 3/4", so if you are about 6' tall, the 650 mount should be fine. If taller than that, maybe the 550 mount.

One more thing to think about; overhead clearance. The XL 650 with the case feeder and mounted on the 650 strong mount is 40-1/2" from the mounting surface to the top of the feed hopper and you need at least a few inches above that to be able to add shells to the hopper. Be sure you have the ceiling height for it.
I second the ceiling height issue. I had to cut 8" off the legs of my bench for the stand. Well worth it in my estimation!!

I bought the 650 Only Strong Mount. Now I'm wondering if maybe I should have gotten the 550/650 instead. I don't see a provision for mounting a bullet tray on the 650 Only Strong Mount. It might have been the picture I was looking at in The Blue Press didn't show it from the angle I needed, or maybe I just missed something that is obvious to everyone else.
Was I wrong to get the 650 Only, since I want to mount a bullet tray, too?
