Adjusting the powder funnel

Put a case in it to set the die........

It was set with a shell in the station.  The ram, at full height, does not push the powder bar far enough to drop the powder.  I added powder and you have to manually push the powder bar over to dump the charge.

What am I missing?  Thoughts anyone?

First, be sure the size die is not down so far as to shorten the stroke of the shaft. Next, how old is the "A" powder funnel you are using? If it is originally from an RL450, then it is too short to function properly with an autopmatic powder measure. The funnel was lengthened back in 1985 with the introduction of the RL550.

Considering my first press was an RL-300, then a 450, then a 550, it very well is too short.  The sizing die is not shortening the stroke, the powder funnel is definitely too short in my estimation.  I'll order one today.

Next question...why is the picture icon in the format bar for a response or a new thread if it only says: You must select a position or range on your document.
