I noticed that Dillon support made the following statement to another user here:
"20 ga 3" and more recently, very light 12 ga shells have pretty much put this gauge out of business. We have no plans to offer a 16 ga version of the SL900."
Since there is no plans to offer a 16 ga version of the SL900....
First of all you brought 20 ga 3" in to this subject. First off how is one suppose to load a 3" round on a press that is only 2.75" capable?
Secondly, if your going to bring up 3" loads, when is Dillon going to get that 3" conversion kit out of the moth balls?
Alot more states are making it illegal to shoot lead period. And because of that many are having to go to 3" and 3.5" loads with steel, bismuth, etc in order to get the same level of impact that a 2 3/4" load with lead could do.

It is soon to be brought back to a front burner. Our soon to be available 50BMG progressive loader is taking priority, but R&D expects to resume work on the 3" conversions sometime in July.

Hey - it is Nov. 2010 - what is the reply here? Will 3" be offered?
Can I take an SL900 to a machine shop and get it 'fixed' to handle 3" and 3 1/2" mag shells?
I would really like to reload for the Remi 887 Nitro.
Thanks,
jwest
