.30-06 Tipping in Station one

I called, and I believe I talked to Mike and he gave me instructions, but I am unsure I remembered correctly when I got out to the machine. When I reload .06 it tips toward the feed locator and won't enter into the station one die. No it is not a Dillon as I have yet to be able to afford doing that on all my tables for my XL650. I have five rifle set up's so far but this seems to be the only caliber that the casing tips out of the way of the decap pin. I moved the rod all the way up so the Station one crams the case all the way into the seat and had one in Station Two (not sure what that accomplished but it was suggested as important) and yet it still tips back out of the shell plate. Suggestions?

Push down on the edge of the shellplate at station 4-does it feel springy? If yes, then the shellplate bolt needs to be tightened a bit. Next, be sure the shellplate and brass locator pins are marked #1. Does a case feed into the shellplate when the only case in the shellplate is the one going into station 1?

Yes it feeds in fine. I cleaned the groove the casehead fits into, removing what material was there, made sure the machine is square and upright using a level and some shims on the stand. Adjusted the camming rod all the way up so it crammed the case into the plate fine. It is a number one with number one pins, and the ramp is correct. Bushing in the arm is correct as is the feed tube from the case feeder. Only seems to be this caliber, as .308 worked 100%, 6MM the same way. Is it possible to wear out the shell holder plate? Can one wear that groove enough that it allows the case to tip? I got my machine when the table was steel and within a year or so the arm for the slide cam bent downward a tad and we replaced that. I was out cleaning a bit ago, and took a level to the table just to make sure that was square to the ram and it is. Confused and frustrated so I walked away. I know I am not seeing something little and that frustrates me. Other suggestions?

You didn't say whether the tipping happens on every round or just once in a while. I have noticed on my 650 when reloading shot once brass, once in a while the cartridge tips away from the die. From what I can determine, the primer on the spent round had moved a small amout out of the pocket and makes the cartridge tipsy (looking for a better term but can't find one).
Also note that this only happens on 30-06 brass and it doesn't make a difference on who mfg it. But it only happens once in a while.

After calling Dillon back, they sent me a Number one Shell plate. Old plate would let the round tip out quite a ways, new one holds the .30-06 round tight as a rubber band. No more tipping. It happened everytime before and has yet to reoccur. THANKS Mike and the crew!
